After a seven year hiatus finally we have the multi-talented Norwegian prog outfit’s third album. Reverting to the 40 minute mark (as opposed to the near 70 minutes of the more explorative and jazzy ‘Contrapasso’ from 2016), there are only four tracks redolent of the heavy King Crimson and of Van Der Graaf Generator, stamped with their own unique mark. The sax makes a brief foray into free jazz territory, but mostly plays the David Jackson role in the band; the organ and synth work compliments the music well, with some piano as well; the guitar is distinctive, but the vocals are somewhat indistinct at times.. Many layers will be revealed with repeated listening. Released on Karisma Records, you can check out the music on Bandcamp.
