The Australian Sand Pebbles (not to be confused with the American R&B vocal group) was formed by three of the screenwriters for “Neighbours” and started releasing albums in 2002. Their latest album is “The Antagonist” from 2023, from which ‘Sometimes A Great Notion’ is taken. This is well worth checking out, but what really blew me away was ‘Desire Lines’, a dead ringer for a lost STEREOLAB track, with its motoric beat. Limited to 300 copies it will go on sale on 10th June.
