PARADOX ONE – THIS FRAGILE PEACE (2015/2024)

In 2015 I had the idea of building an album from the bottom up so to speak, that is by asking Tim Jones and Paddi to provide some bass and drums rhythm tracks and adding some keyboard-based music on top. Selectively working my way through the ‘candidates’ amongst the backing tracks, other musicians came on board and eventually Tim and the ‘Stone Premonitions crew’ produced an album with a three-part piece entitled ‘Ethereal Soldier’ providing bridges between the pieces. Now “This Fragile Peace” has been remastered by Tim and released on the Falling A label. It can be heard on Spotify and the latest version can be purchased through Falling A. The musicians involved were: Phil Jackson: keyboards, words, rhythm guitar, percussion and FX; John Simms: vocals, electric guitar, bass guitar and drum programming; Maxine Marten: vocals; Tim Jones: bass guitar and Paddi: drums and percussion, with artwork by Kevin Heard.

The reviews at the time were most encouraging, so much so that Tim and I are collaborating once again on a new project in similar vein under the name Paradoxical Hallucinations. For information about “This Fragile Peace” (and links if you have any difficulty accessing it) and the new project, as well as the Falling A sampler with the title track from “This Fragile Peace” included (also on Spotify), please contact phil7jackson@outlook.com. It would be lovely to hear from you.

A blast from the past: I’m listening again to ‘Hypnotiser’ . Right away the palpable spacey groove hauls you in for a ‘Lift Off ’ . The title track continues the journey: “Let’s have a look at the Ear
