NOSTALGIA TRIP #2 – i/e – THE MAGAZINE OF PROGRESSIVE AND ELECTRONIC MUSIC

To be honest I don’t know what happened to i/e. I am looking at the second edition from winter, 1992 and find advertisements for the Cuneiform and Musea labels inside the front cover. There is a pageful of readers’ letters indicating a healthy degree of popularity. Also within its pages are interviews with Edgar Froese and Djam Karet and over 100 reviews.

The editorial or “Progressive Report” by Darren Bergstein begins with the sentence: “In case you’ve been wondering, progressive rock is back” and concludes with “The future might still remain starless and bible black, but those bursting embryos of tiny lights signal an imminent big bang.” Well, here we are 33 years later!
