MILES DAVIS Quintet - Workin' - 1958/2023

Original Jazz Classics/Craft Recordings has released an LP/Download and it's hard to argue with the 5* review in Jazz Wise Magazine. Alongside companion releases COOKIN', RELAXIN', and STEAMIN', WORKIN' is part of a series of the finest small Jazz group ensemble recordings with a classic line-up of John Coltrane on tenor sax, Red Garland on piano, Paul Chambers on bass and Philly Jo Jones on drums. £55 is a steep price too pay, but if on a limited budget like most of us are, a visit to DISCOGS will reveal alternative pressings that are much cheaper.
