KING CRIMSON – SHELTERING SKIES: LIVE IN FREJUS, FRANCE, AUGUST 27, 1982 (DGM – CD/ 2xLP)

As it happens Adrian Belew are currently touring similar music with Beat, with Steve Vai as Robert Fripp. This is the first ever vinyl release of the 1980s King Crimson line-up with Adrian Belew (also violin) and Fripp on guitars, Tony Levin on bass and Bill Bruford on drums. Belew’s numbers were a Godsend for Fripp at a period when he appeared to be suffering from ‘writer’s block’ and this concert features music from two of the albums that resulted: “Beat” and “Discipline” along with classics like ‘Red’ and ‘Larks Tongues in Aspic: Part Two’.
