A remastered original mix, a new stereo mix and a 5.1 sound stereo mix with a Blu-Ray from 21st August, 1971 (Granada TV) and Rockpalast (10th February, 1972) with bonus instrumental versions and alternate takes seems a bit of overkill and it probably is. A different kind of album from “Songs for a Tailor” (and certainly from the jazz rock fusion of “Things We Like”) it comes across as more of a folk-rock album (with occasional heavier moments) than anything else. There is no doubting the quality of the musicianship with Chris Spedding on guitar and John Marshall on bass but for me, with the exception of a few ballads that made it into the live sets, I think it lacks the high points of “Songs for a Tailor” and maybe hasn’t stood the test of time that I thought it would.
