CUSTARD FLUX – ENTER XENON (Release date: 1st June, 2025)

Following their sold-out lathe cut split single on Fruits de Mer (‘Opportunity Knocks’), Curvey’s latest project Custard Flux has released a taster of their new album “Enter Xenon” on Bandcamp. After a brief intro of somewhat sci-fi soundbites and sound effects, ‘Winter’ is an infectious number with a stirring melody, a heavy guitar riff, with a change of pace in the mid-section to accommodate some mellotron (Andy Thompson) and guitar arpeggios, an insistent rhythm provided by Timothy Prettyman (bass) and Nick Pruett (drums and percussion) before a rousing guitar break. (Vito Greco and Curvey both play guitar, the latter also adding ARP synth into the mix) – this sampler promises much to look forward to in the nine-track album to be released in June.
