I love listening to JOHN SIMMSs fluid and expressive guitar, conjuring up mages of space and time. 'Through a Purple Lens' is a serpentine, magical piece of musical tapestry, and MAXINE SIMMS' stunning video is the perfect accompaniment. Through a purple lens one sees winged creatures floating, an eclipse, lotus flowers, a crooked mushroom house and giant 'mushroom' towers, and a man running through a corridor between the stars; the guitarist himself appearing in the final sequence, a beautiful video to complement a flowing psychedelic extravaganza that will reward repeated listening.
