Magic Mushroom and Astralasia were sister groups originating from 1990. The latter were part of the dancefloor trance scene along with the likes of Ozric Tentacles. The “Seven-Pointed Star” LP was released in 1996 to popular acclaim, extending to airtime on Radio One’s flagship breakfast show. It included the 14-minute epic ‘Astral Vision’. This 4 CD boxset is part of a series of releases from the Magick Eye label. Disc one has the aforementioned “The Seven-Pointed Star” album. CD two has “The Space Between” album also from 1996. CD three has different versions of “The Seven-Pointed Star” track (edited, astral dub version etcetera) and the fourth CD has four versions of the ‘Alien Love Song’ single along with Astralasia’s “High Planes Drifter” E.P.
