The press release synopsis: “An artist with a penchant for creating mind-bending musical landscapes; a fusion of psychedelic rock, experimental sound and poetic lyricism, taking the listener through a kaleidoscope of emotions.”
For 25 years Adam has been releasing his creations on small independent labels, his first LP appearing on Hereby Records in 2023 as a limited vinyl LP. “Zoneout” is described as “a curious mixture of Kosmische Musik, Noise and Folklore” with “traces of drone, ambient, free jazz and punk.” Adam operates within the DIY ethic in his home studio in Poland spontaneously with one-takes which is evident from listening. Early on the album consists of ‘soundscapes’ (as on ‘Tape Structure’). ‘Der Schmiere’ is the most Kosmische sound I heard in the early part of the album, with stereo panning of synthesised/ processed sounds and percussion without much deviation to lift the rather sombre mood. ‘Die Rauchfanne’ has a suggestion of a church organ with some blips and pulses. The music is very uniform in structure. ‘Ein Ding’ has some bass guitar and light percussion and a more discernible melody than most of the music, with otherworldly voices, touching the borders of Krautrock. ‘Zones’ has guitar in the semi-distance and echoing synthesised ‘effects.’ All of the tracks are pretty short and some of them aerospheric, suggesting an alien environment, no more so than on penultimate track ‘Porozumienie Miedzyplanetare’. ‘Mindtripeye’ stretches to 5 minutes, with eerie keyboard sounds suggesting an industrial landscape
